Topcon NW6 Retinal Camera

As part of our continuous investment programme we are able to offer patients Retinal Imaging as part of the Gold Eye Examination. This will allow the Optometrist to photograph the central 45° of the back of the eye.

This image is then analysed by your Optometrist to ensure the eye is healthy. The image is then catalogued so that a comparison can be made with any future examinations.

Benefits include:

· Earlier disease detection

· Comparisons can be made with previous visits

· No drops to dilate the pupils are needed (in most cases)

· Fast and reliable...the results are immediately displayed for viewing

· Ideal for people with diabetes and glaucoma or if they have a relative with glaucoma.

Cost is kept to a minimum to encourage patient uptake and is currently an additional £10 above the Silver Eye Examination fee. The examination is recommended normally at 2 year intervals. We recommend that you include the Retinal Imaging in your family's eye care.
